FeaturedCommentsTbh I barely understand some of the things you're saying.
And my "language composition" I don't believe was too demanding. I was not asking you to never again use symmetrical compositions, it was a simple suggestion that maybe you could try to switch it up a bit. An opinion, a suggestion, not a demand, given from me to you. I feel this argument, though I don't really want to call it an argument at this point; it's more of a debate, it shouldn't have even been an argument. :/ I just was annoyed with your response, being that it was kinda rude, but you didn't apologize and this argument has continued. I still don't even understand, what exactly is the main point you are trying to make in defending your side of this discussion? I would like to make a suggestion. Forget the whole thing, and start fresh. My name is Phil and I look forward to seeing new work from you in the future.
I just complimented your work and posted a small bit of my opinion to how i think you could improve the compositions of these pieces of yours. You ignored my appreciation of your artwork and went straight to criticizing my opinion on what I thought to be the bad parts about your work. If you're going to post your stuff here, you have to understand people are going to comment and possibly criticize/give tips on how we think you can improve or we might just simply give out an opinion on the artwork. It's an open community for everyone to comment. That does not mean you need to agree with everything that is said to you here, but you should at least be understanding and respectful of others' opinions. I'm just saying this because that sarcastic statement of yours sounded a bit cocky as if no one else's words matter to you. If that's true, at least try not to show it. I'd understand for this kind of response if I were giving that comment in a rude manner, but I'm pretty sure I was not. :/
Anyway, I do really like your work, it was just an additional simple opinion I thought I'd share, since that's what deviantart is basically for. Sorry if this long response seems off-putting or too extreme, but I felt I should respond with this. Lmao I'm just an ass. I love utilizing my right to express my opinions without reserve. Just like you. I said that because I like that DA has an option geared towards encouraging critiques on a piece. There is little room for that on a larger scale because it starts to get fuzzy. General contravening subjectivity in a public forum is sort of a deprecating way to share an opinion with me. Maybe a note, or maybe more specifically on a piece where I have critiques enabled; otherwise, I personally favor asking someone first if they would appreciate my generalized opinion over some form of specificity. And, if I am going to be criticized, referential data to back it up would be favorable and beneficial to that whole growth process. Without it, it's just a biased opinion and doesn't benefit me a lick. It would be cool if you spent more time talking to me to get a better idea of who I am.
True, maybe that kind of comment won't benefit you without detail to back it up, but I didn't realize that at the time I was commenting. Just kindly respond and explain that to me next time though, no need to get antsy about it and respond obnoxiously.
